Denver related that in1952 the drivers drew straws for grid positions. He had the good fortune to start from the first row in the Queen Catherine Cup race. After leading the field of cars through the first two turns, he was then quickly passed by Bill Spear in the new and sensational red OSCA. Spear easily won the four lap race.
I chose to recreate the scene immediately after the start. The OSCA can be seen already planning to make its move. Its a scene of action as well as anticipation.
