John Fitch in the Jaguar 120-C leads Fred White in the Ladd Special and Sherwood Johnston in the Lagonda during the 8 lap 1952 Seneca Cup race. These cars, which finished first, second, and third place respectively, are shown in the picturesque State Park Section of the original Watkins Glen circuit. The Jaguar’s sleek styling contrasts sharply with the pre-war designs of its competitors. Fitch averaged 76.6 m.p.h. for the event, which was a new record.
